Tags for Analytics


A Tag is used to group assessees.

The following are examples of appropriate Tags:

  • Hiring manager, Region, Product line, Position title, Top performers, Hi-POs

Using Tags in Analytics

Searching for Existing Tags

To search for existing tags that have been saved, do the following:

  1. Begin typing the name of the desired tag in the Search box in the upper right of the Tags tab of the Settings screen.
  2. Select the desired tag, if more than one appears.

Adding Assessees to a Tag

There are two ways to add an assessee to a Tag via the Analytics item in the Banner Menu: by Name, or by Tag.

Adding Assessees to a Tag by Name

  1. Click Analytics from the Banner Menu. The cMetrics tab should be selected by default.

  2. Enter each desired name in the Filter by Tag or Name field by typing a partial name and choosing from the list that displays.

  3. Click on the green tag icon to the right of the name(s) entered in the filter field. A drop-down menu appears.
    Select "Add to Tag"
  4. Select Add to Tag from the drop-down menu. The Tag Selected Assessees dialog displays.

  5. Click on the Filter by Tag field in the Select tags: section and choose a tag from those that display.

    Note:

    If the tag you want is not in the drop-down, you will have to create it.

Adding Assessees to a Tag by Tag

  1. Click Analytics from the Banner Menu. The cMetrics tab should be selected by default.
    Select assessee(s) and click Select Metrics
  2. Click Select Metrics, immediately beneath the Views field.

  3. Select Job Matches, Competencies, and/or Behaviors. We have selected three Competencies and three Behaviors.
  4. Click OK. The cMetrics tab will reappear, populated with relative Competency and Behavior information.
  5. Click the caret to the left of a name—now in the lower portion of the screen—that you wish to add to a tag.
  6. Select Tag assessee from the drop-down list. The Tag [Assessee Name] dialog displays.
  7. Assign a tag or tags to this Assessee in either of these ways:
    • Click in the Filter by Tag field under Select tags: to select an existing tag or tags.

      Note:

      You are able to add to more than one tag.

    • Create a new tag or tags by typing in the Name: field under Create new tag, and an optional description in the accompanying Description: field.
  8. Click Save.
