Selecting Existing and New Assessees

Overview

If an assessee completed a Caliper assessment more than 365 days ago, the Reassessment field displays with the choices Yes and No. Select Yes if you want the assessee to complete a new assessment or No if you want a report using the existing assessment.

Important:

Caliper strongly recommends that you not reassess an individual who has been assessed within the past five years (as Cecilia Ashton has), because any feedback on the results of a prior assessment may influence an assessee's responses on a subsequent assessment.
Reassessment warning note
If (as with assessee Barry Bell) the assessee took the profile within the last 365 days, you will not have the option to reassess that individual.
No option to Reassess with recent assessee
If you feel it is necessary to have this individual reassessed, please contact Caliper.

Selecting an Existing Assessee

When someone completes the Caliper Profile, that person's name and scoresheet remain in our system.

Note:

You can now order a report for more than one person at a time, in one of two ways. You can either:

  • Enter the names one at a time in the Assessees field, following the steps below for each individual name, or
  • Import a .csv file with the names listed. See the article Creating/Importing an Assessee .CSV File for details on this process.

To enter individually the name(s) of an assessee(s) who have completed the Caliper Profile, perform the following:

"Assessees" selection

  1. Enter a portion of the person's name in the Assessees field. As with the Job Title field, typing any part of the person's name will start the sorting process, as the system renders a list of names that most closely matches what you type.
  2. Select the individual for whom you wish to order a report from the Assessees field drop-down (for this example, we are selecting Cecilia Ashton). The [Assessee] information dialog displays.
    Assessee information dialog
  3. Fill out the [Assessee] information dialog.
    • Select whether or not the person is a current employee, as well as whether the individual is being assessed for selection or developmental purposes.

      Note:

These selections are primarily for internal research purposes and to improve our accuracy.

    • If an assessee completed a Caliper assessment more than 365 days ago, the Reassessment field displays with the choices Yes and No. Select Yes if you want the assessee to complete a new assessment or No if you want a report using the existing assessment.

      Important:

Caliper strongly recommends that you not reassess an individual who has been assessed within the past five years, because any feedback on the results of a prior assessment may influence an assessee's responses on a subsequent assessment.

If the assessee took the profile within the last 365 days, you will not have the option to reassess that individual. If, for some reason, you feel it necessary to have an individual reassessed, please contact Caliper.

  4. Fill in the required fields (First Name, Last Name, and Email address). If any of these are left blank, you won't be able to proceed.

    Note:

Since the Language field applies directly to an administered assessment, it will not generally apply to an existing assessee, except on the rare occasion when they are reassessed. If this is the case, and you need to reassess the individual using an assessment in a language other than the default US English, see the article Ordering Assessments in Different Languages for detailed information.

The non-required fields allow you to set a Purchase Order Number, determine a Cost Center, write a note to your Caliper consultant about this order, and even send a personalized message to the assessee.

  5. Click Save. The Order Reports/Assessments screen reappears, with the name of the selected assessee in the Assessees field.

Selecting a New Assessee

If an assessee has never completed a Caliper assessment, that person has no information in our system, and you must follow these steps:

Note:

You can now place an order for more than one person at a time for the same assessment and report. To do this, simply populate the Assessees field with all applicable names, using the following steps for each name.

  1. Click New next to the Assessees field. The New Assessee dialog shows."New Assessee" dialog
  2. Enter the new assessee's First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.

    Notes:

    Assessments in Different Languages
If you need to assess the individual using an assessment in a language other than the default US English, see the article Ordering Assessments in Different Languages for detailed information.

    Non-Required Fields
The non-required fields allow you to set a Purchase Order Number, determine a Cost Center, write a note to your Caliper consultant about this order, and even send a personalized message to the assessee.

  3. Click Save. The Order Reports/Assessments screen reappears, with the name of the new assessee in the Assessees field.

Selecting Multiple Assessees

You can select multiple assessees at the same time, provided each will complete the same language assessment and have the same report generated. To do this, place all of their names in the Assessees field on the Order Reports/Assessments screen.

This way, you don't have to order individual reports several times. You can even order multiple reports for a combination of Existing Assessees and New Assessees at the same time.

Note:

See the article Creating/Importing an Assessee .CSV File for more information about importing the names of multiple assessees.

Finishing the Order for an Existing Job Title or a New Job Title

From here you have further required and optional fields before you place the order. Some steps will differ depending on whether you are using an Existing Job Title or a New Job Title.
