Portal Menus and Dashboard Links

The Dashboard

After you log in to the Portal, the Dashboard displays.

The Dashboard

The Dashboard displays two menus at the top, and four links in the center. This article will summarize each in turn.

Throughout the Portal on every screen are the Banner Menu and the Toolbar Menu. The Banner Menu items are at the top of each screen, appearing white against blue when unselected. The Toolbar Menu items are below the banner on the right half of the screen. These menu items appear blue against white when unselected.

In the center of the Dashboard are four specialized links. These shortcuts appear only on the Dashboard. See the The Dashboard Links section below for more information.

Top Banner Menu; appears on all screens

The Banner Menu is a series of menu items at the top of the screen in the blue banner. It appears at the top of every full screen in the Portal, making any of its items accessible from any screen where the Banner Menu is visible.

CALIPER Logo tab

Click the CALIPER Logo from any screen where the Banner Menu is visible to return to the Dashboard.

The Dashboard is one of two screens on the Portal where you can Order a Report/Assessment (the other being the View Reports screen). See the Ordering Assessments and Reports FAQs article for more information. You can also view the most recent reports, which are listed in the green field on the left. Finally, the Dashboard is where you access the series of four links in the center area. These are discussed in detail in the Dashboard Links section below.

Dashboard

Dashboard tab

Click Dashboard from any screen where the Banner Menu is visible to return to the Dashboard.

The Dashboard is one of two screens on the Portal where you can Order a Report/Assessment (the other being the View Reports screen). See the Ordering Assessments and Reports FAQs article for more information. You can also view the most recent reports, which are listed in the green field on the left. Finally, the Dashboard is where you access the series of four links in the center area. These are discussed in detail in the Dashboard Links section below.

Reports

Reports tab

Click Reports from any screen where the Banner Menu is visible and the View Reports screen displays.

The View Reports screen lists all of the reports that have been requested, whether an assessment was required, and what the current status is of either one.

Hiring Status

Hiring Status tab

Click Hiring Status from any screen where the Banner Menu is visible and the Hiring Status screen displays.

The Client Portal's Hiring Status and the Hiring Status screen allow you to continually keep track of whom your company has decided to hire and decided not to hire. Using the Hiring Status screen, you can also specify an employee's Leaving Date.

Note:

Use of the Hiring Status screen assumes that you have permissions to update the Hiring Status. If you do not have permissions but should, please contact Caliper to have them enable the Client Portal Hiring Status screen for you.

Analytics

Analytics tab

Click Analytics from any screen where the Banner Menu is visible and the Caliper Analytics section displays.

Caliper Analytics is an add-on element of the Client Portal that helps you to readily identify and group like-minded candidates and enables you to collaborate and share talent analytics with others. See the Caliper Analytics Overview article for more information.

Note:

Since Caliper Analytics is an add-on element of the Client Portal, it is not available if it was not purchased.

Help

Help tab

Clicking Help from any screen where the Banner Menu is visible and the Client Support Home page will open.

Here you can view How-Tos, Instructions, and other support and training material.

The Toolbar Menu

The Submenu

Edit Account [Your Name]

Edit Account tab

Click Edit Account [Your Name] and the My Account screen displays. Here you can change your personal information, email, password, and notification methods. Here you can also link your account to a social network. See the section Logging In Using a Social Network Account in the article Registering and Logging In for specific information.

Settings

Settings tab

Click Settings and various settings tabs will display, including Tags, Views, Users, Job Titles, Order Templates, and Preferences.

Companies

Companies tab

Click Companies and the Companies dialog displays. This item only appears in the Toolbar Menu if your candidates are not all from the same company.

Log out

Click Log Out to sign out from the Portal.

The Dashboard Links

The four links in the central area of the Dashboard will be very useful to you, particularly if you are a new user.

Get Started

Click Get Started to view the documentation, brochures, and videos in the Get Started portion of the Caliper Tool Kit. These sources will demonstrate how to set up your first assessment and give answers to frequently asked questions.

Share Caliper Assessment Results with Employees

Click Share Caliper Assessment Results with Employees to view a brochure describing how and why to order an Individual Development Guide (IDG) for an employee.

Put Caliper Profile Results to Work

Click Put Caliper Profile Results to Work to view the brochures and video in the Put Caliper Profile Results to Work portion of the Caliper Tool Kit. These sources describe how to get the most out of using the Caliper Profile.

Talent Management Solutions

Click Talent Management Solutions to view the brochures in the Talent Management Solutions portion of the Caliper Tool Kit. These sources describe employee development, team, and coaching solutions.
